In search of hope synopsis:

What hope can you find when everything is fucked? We are in a climate crisis, our ecosystems are collapsing and 2020 welcomed us with a global pandemic.
Just as the filmmaker began her journey in search of hope, global lockdowns abruptly disrupted her plans. She ended up in the Canadian countryside learning restorative and regenerative agriculture and started a podcast to document change making efforts worldwide.

This is a film about actions that people are taking and offerings of what you can do. It is a call for action towards regenerative futures and a reminder that we are not alone.

Conversation restaurant -20min

Introduction to gift economy -30min

Discussion -20min

Testimonials

“Amazing expression of the times and intersectionality.” -Rita

“More and more people are recognising that social change movements are nuanced (the conversations around it aren’t black and white, right and wrong, left and right etc). What better way that creative outputs to showcase those nuances? When a 5 minute video can create such a deep conversation like this… the wonders I can do to move people. The NEED for collaboration of arts into different businesses and sectors is so vital.” -Jonathon Collie (The Common Room)

“It took me back to emotions, places, questions. I’d love to share it with friends and colleagues as a starting point of a conversation and share our thoughts, memories and feelings.
” -Leila (Cross sector advisor)

“Keep up the creative agency of expressing the pandemic. It provides a terrific time-sound capsule of each other’s experiences.” -Yen (Art therapist)

”Still so much to respond to in the film Fié. Every time I feel something new
” -Orode (Community artist)
